I was thinking almost how Mojang has said that they might not add plugins to Realms. I wanted to know what the community thought nearly this. In my stance I think that a vanilla Realms is a proficient thought. The reason is because if you want plugins that you should play on a regular Minecraft server.

That would increase the complexity of the setup for the server hosting company quite a fleck since you don't actually accept control of or admin access to the server simply rather can but access it thru a express in game card. The fourth dimension for them to install custom software on thousands of private rental servers and then wipe them and reload for the next renter would exist considerable. Mojang would likewise have to come up with a completely new user control scheme than the one they have been working on so that the renter could accept some control over the plugin functions.
This would all increment the rental fees for the servers too, since time spent by the hosting visitor on this would inflate their labor costs. If you wanted a customized server why wouldn't you just rent one from another company that you could have ftp and console access likewise? Minecraft realms is intended to be a cheap dependable service bachelor from within the game and that takes no existent computer cognition or skill to use.
Call up of it as similar to the eight player multiplayer on Xbox where there are no mods or plugins either, they already said the servers would exist "optimized" for 10 players. It is just meant every bit a mode to play with friends or family unit, if someone wants something fancier then they should gear up it upwardly themselves either at home or thru one of the numerous hosting companies that already exist.

I think Realms should stay plugin gratuitous as it is really a quick and like shooting fish in a barrel way of setting up a global LAN earth, non something advanced that should exactly take plugins.

Well what if there were pre-made very basic plugins made by mojang that you could merely hands turn on or off and gear up rapidly and hands.

I suppose merely I have never fabricated a server so I wouldnt know merely I am staff on multiple servers and from what I can tell it seems pretty complicated. I want mojang to have basic pre installed plugins to brand it easier for new server owners like me and once im ready for the more complicated stuff i can drift to a bukkit server.

Well you know the elementary piece of cake ones like /home and /spawn. I may be sounding SUPER nooby and for that I am sorry but I am very new to server managing.

If MC Realms included plugins, then most third part server hosts wouldn't take a reason to be unless they could provide a feature MC Realms can't or exist lower priced.

equally ausador said in a higher place, information technology would exist likewise much work to install custom plugins and to have to wipe them when the owner is done renting the server. So my thought is that maybe mojang could accept each realm have very basic pre installed plugins that you can plow on and off. However you lot could non add new plugins but just manage the ones that the realm server currently supports. and keep in mind they will exist VERY basic.

I retrieve that Realms plugins would be a good thought but perhaps your realms could be either a plugin realms or a no-plugin realms and then that people who exercise not want to have to do anything too complicated don't have to.
I have some friends who are only allowed to do Realms because their parents say information technology is 'unsafe' to go on real servers. I don't know how true this is, especially for private, whitelisted servers. Maybe it's the mentioning of the word 'IP address', or the idea of it being to public, or the bad words, or the spam, or what. Simply I know they want to go on servers besides, or at least something with plugins would be shut enough.

Just the small, basic plugins. Like MCMMO.

It is not possible to upload "Plugins" to any realm server, and if you mean Bukkit plugins, and so no, definitely not. Mojang is using vanilla servers merely (and so far), and vanilla servers cannot be modified, plus Mojang cannot use Bukkit on their own considering it was a customs projection, not a Mojang product.
